DescriptionNuclear Medicine Technologist – Long Beach, CA (1-year contract)
An Acute Care facility in Long Beach, CA is looking for Nuclear Medicine Technologists to join their team for a 1-year contract with the opportunity to extend up to 4 years.
Operate computerized imaging systems and other specialized equipment; i.e., well detector systems. Performs clinical diagnostic examinations and procedures utilizing radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals; i.e., PET and PET/CT, general and cardiac studies producing high quality nuclear medicine static, dynamic and SPECT. Also performs complex clinical diagnostic laboratory examination.
Requirements: ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB CNMT Certification, 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT, experience starting IV’s, radiopharmaceutical injections and contract injections. IV Cert is preferred but not required.
Education: Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
Experience: 2 years of experience required within the last five years
Licensure: Valid state radiology registration as required by state law
Certification: Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
Preferred Skills: Looking for someone open to some on call is highly preferred! Please let us know if you have acute care experience, Siemens machine experience, and current applicable licensure or certifications
