Supervising Mental Health Clinician- LCSW-Qualifications: Supervising Mental Health Clinicians assigned to Humboldt County pursuant to the terms and conditions of this Agreement shall have the appropriate education, training, background, certifications and experience to perform, without limitation, all of the following clinical supervision services: 1. Planning, organizing, assigning, reviewing, evaluating, and directing the work of assigned staff. 2. Assessing patients and making accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. 3. Providing various clinical supervision, policy development, patient care planning and staff training services, including, without limitation, all of the following: a. Monitoring the timely initiation and completion of master treatment plans for each patient and addressing any deficiencies. b. Contributing to discharge planning and assisting DHHS – Mental Health staff with the execution of aftercare plans. c. Confirming that clinicians chart the patient’s progress notes in the electronic medical record in accordance with inpatient documentation standards. d. Assisting DHHS – Mental Health staff in updating policy and procedures pertaining to the provision of clinical services. e. Reviewing master treatment plans and progress notes in order to ensure compliance with Humboldt County clinical services goals. f. Recommending changes to the clinical services provided by Humboldt County in order to conform with the standards set forth in Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations. g. Meeting with the Humboldt County multidisciplinary team, the Clinical Director of Humboldt's Psychiatric Health Facility, or a designee thereof, and other key personnel to discuss work effort, resolve problem areas and coordinate the provision of clinical services. h. Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement Committee meetings and activities as assigned. i. Participating in utilization review activities as assigned.
