Job Summary:
A School District in Tolleson, AZ are looking for energetic Occupational Therapists to join their team for the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for implementing intervention and therapy regarding students' fine and gross motor skills and functional abilities (e.g. perceptual-motor, hand functions, motor coordination, sensory development, muscle strength, etc.) under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.

Requirements:
• Active OT State License
• Must have experience in providing therapy services to children of elementary, middle, and high school ages
• Needs comprehensive knowledge of educationally related occupational therapy service delivery program options for secondary education students including integration, collaboration, and least restrictive environment service delivery models in the public setting.
• Previous experience working with student and families from diverse ethnic populations preferred
• Have experience with the ADE-NAU Lending Library for assessment of possible assistive technology devices to be considered for students.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• 6 months of experience within the last 5 years

Responsibilities:
• Develop positive and effective relationships with students, parents, teachers and other professionals.
• Assess the functional needs and sets appropriate goals for the student.
• Reassesses the child’s functional needs and adjusts care plan as indicated to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Documents evaluations and treatment goals and plans.
• Utilize resources and materials in an efficient and safe manner.
• Performs all duties promptly in a competent and caring manner.
• Provide in-service to parents to carry out existing therapy routines for students in a daily setting of the student’s home if the educational setting is the student’s home
